We are continuously doing our part to minimize our
carbon footprint in this world by participating in several programs to reduce energy and waste:
- Since 2004, all of our lights have been changed to CFLs and LEDs to conserve energy.
- We participate in Southern California Edison’s Express Efficiency Program by purchasing energy efficient air conditioning units.
- Our laundry and cleaning chemicals are pH balanced and biodegradable.
- When possible we try to donate our linens at the request of local churches.
- Our mattresses are completely reconditioned through a series of steps at a local mattress company to ensure comfort as well as sanitation.
- As product become available and affordable, we have switched to recycled paper goods for our copy paper, facial tissue and toilet paper.
- Even though City of Rialto does not participate in a city-wide recycling program, we collect and separate plastic bottles, glass bottles, paper products from the trash bins to recycle them at our local recycling center. We also recycle empty toners from our copy and fax machines.
We are constantly researching for new ways to reduce waste and to be more energy efficient.
